I could not find an Indian Bank notice for 2026-27. The latest I found was for FY 2025-26, with an online deadline of 24 July 2025. Use it to prepare, and check the bank's tenders and empanelment page for a new call.
Facts checked: 9 October 2026. Everything below is from the FY 2025-26 notice and may have changed.
What the 2025-26 notice required
- It covered both concurrent and stock auditors. A firm wanting both needed two separate applications.
- The firm had to be an ICAI member, a partnership or proprietary firm with a CA partner or proprietor, and empanelled with the RBI panel.
- Only one application could be made for each audit under a single RBI Unique Code Number.
- Retired officers of Indian Bank, including erstwhile Allahabad Bank retirees, applied separately.
- Queries went to the bank's concurrent audit cell, whose email appears on the application page.
The application portal is at apps.indianbank.in/ca/.
Do not confuse it with Indian Overseas Bank
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) ran its own 2026-27 notice, with a last date of 10 June 2026 and a term from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. Its criteria and dates are not Indian Bank's.
A preparation checklist
- Confirm the firm's RBI Unique Code Number and that it is on the RBI panel.
- Decide whether you want concurrent, stock, or both, and prepare each application separately.
- Gather proof of experience in bank audit and any ICAI certificate course completion.
- Check the bank's page weekly from May, since the last cycle's window fell in July.
Read how this compares with UCO Bank and Union Bank of India, and see the empanelment guide.
